5 SEASONS PLAYBOOK

Why the name "5 Seasons Playbook"?

You might have wondered from the get-go, "Why is this newsletter called "5 Seasons Playbook"?"

We have four seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer, so...

***head-scratching moment***

"Did I miss something?" πŸ˜‚

You haven't missed anything! Being curious about the title is where we're heading to next.

LIFE TRANSITIONS AND SEASONS

We go through life, on repeat, with nature's seasons.

Much like the external transition from the summer heat into the scattering of fall leaves, we undergo an internal transition from one season to the next.

Though "big or small" is relative to any person's experience, we go through profound life transitions, such as (these are only but a few):

  • Unexpectedly losing a 10+ years job
  • Getting married
  • The death of a loved one or friend
  • Retirement from a 30+ years career
  • Moving away to a new home or country

Then, we have the subsequent and figurative changes that either come with those transitions or can stand alone. These could be (this list is also only but a few):

  • Devastating and bitter divorce that brings one's identity from being coupled to being single
  • Promotion to regional director after 15 years in the same department of the company
  • Changing careers from finance to healthcare
  • Identity shifts from being a stay-at-home mom to an artist and small business owner
  • Abrupt morning routine change of the barista, who's made your coffee order and engaged in small-talk conversations with you every weekday before work for the past three years, suddenly transferred and a new employee has filled in

Whether these transitions are clear or subtle, the duration of the experience of those transitions doesn't have a specific time frame.

We could stay in one season of our lives for an extended period of time.

Or we quickly ride the transition and move forward to the next one.

This could be a conscious decision, or it could be unconsciously done.

This raises a question for reflection:

Are you currently going through a significant life transition, whether it is apparent or invisible to others?

These changes merit a lot of inner strength and resiliency in facing the terrain of these varying shifts in our human experience.

Sometimes, crossing that proverbial bridge of a life transition is an experience that is not seen by others on the outside but is more apparent or more felt by you on the inside.

That's the call to practice during life's many transitions as we grieve what has been and will never be while remaining open to what is yet to be seen.

LIFE TRANSITIONS WITH GRIEF AND LOSS

Grief and loss are felt and present when we go through life transitions.

Life transitions, or these portals of initiation, are intertwined with the grief and loss of something or someone significant from one state of being or period of time, as we aim to move towards a new way of living.

It is a vulnerable and messy process as we transmute from one form to the next.

Life transitions, coupled with grief and loss, are the bedrock for our evolution as spiritual beings living a human experience.

Every life transition experience calls for change, and it will also ask us to look at our overall relationship with grief and loss.

Because at every life transition, we lose and we gain.

These experiences are tied so closely with one another that focusing only on one piece would mean you're missing other jigsaw puzzle pieces to the larger life puzzle.

HOW DOES THIS RELATE WITH "5 SEASONS PLAYBOOK"?

When I came up with the name for this newsletter, I knew I needed to include the word "seasons".

It personifies the central overarching theme of life transitions.

And the number five came to me because.....lean a little closer πŸ™‚...

It represents the ALL-ENCOMPASSING INTEGRATION season, which is our all-seeing Self that is here to evolve and mindfully elevate our consciousness so we can live with purpose and meaning, all within the experience of the natural seasons that occur in our life.

Sometimes we forget how and what we need to go towards when it feels like we are thrown into a life change. I know this happens to me.

And some coping mechanisms continue to work, but other times, you need to do something different.

This "playbook" is a reference for how and what you can practice at your own pace to cultivate that strong inner core and master the movement of life.

Also, after sitting with the title, I realized that five also represents something unique regarding numerology and astrology, which I just noticed when writing this now!

Here are some findings related to the number five:

  • The number of change (hello there, life transitions!) and the number of humanity (our experience as humans on earth)
  • Five is associated with the planet Mercury, which is all about communication, positive and fun vibrations, learning, education, and how you think and talk about things (this newsletter!)
  • Five is also associated with the five elements of nature - air, water, fire, earth, and space/ether - and whole person holistic care and balance (which is related to the Astro-spiritual aspect of the content here)

In all honesty, it amazes me how this part all came forward after coming up with the name of this newsletter.

And that leads to my two intentions for you, my friend, in being with me on this journey...

  1. To bravely come into the holding space and higher consciousness of seeing and expressing the 5th Season within your life.
  2. To co-create with the life transitions and changes meant to serve your growth and resiliency in this lifetime.

When we return home to ourselves and see our life transitions as an opportunity to learn and reflect on where we are and who we are, we have the potential to become closer and more intimate with ourselves and others.

As always, take what resonates with you and leave out the rest.

Peace and Love To You,

Putri
